Recent results

PC Championships 2023
With something of a clash with A level results day for Zoe, Darcy was our sole representative at Open dressage Championships this year, but she and Sam made it worth the trip, with a fantastic podium finish in 3rd place. Congratulations Darcy!

Area Dressage 2023
A fairly small contingent of members went to Area this year, but all put in excellent performances. Darcy and Zoe came 1st and 2nd respectively in the Open, qualifying for Champs. Esme came 4th individually in the Intermediate and along with teammates Mabel and Amelie, they also took 4th place. Felicity came 4th in class 4 and Poppy came 9th in the Novice. In the Grassroots, the team of Julie, Florrie, Pippa and Billy came 12th in a large field, and Billy and Pippa also qualified individually for Regional Champs.

Well done to all and good luck at Champs!

PC Championships 2022
Esme and Yoda put in a lovely performance in the Novice Championships, holding 2nd place for much of the class but ultimately finishing in 7th place in a very competitive field.  Congratulations Esme!

The following day saw our Open team in action (Abi, Archie, Harry and Zoe), plus Abi rode in the Elite Dressage competition. They all rode super tests in the Open, placing 2nd, 5th, 9th and 6th respectively in their arenas, securing second place as a team!  Abi then went through to the individual ride-off and put in another lovely performance, ending up in second overall.

In the Elite dressage (Abi’s third test of the day!) she and Barney really got into their stride and smashed it, taking the national title.

Huge congratulations to them all!

Area 2022

A lovely day in the sunshine for Area dressage 2022. Very well done to all our riders and their ponies, and a big thank you to team manager Suzy and trainers Freya and Andy for all their help.

Our Open team was at Hickstead bright and early and all four put in strong performances. Archie placed 2nd and Abi 3rd in their arena while Zoe took 3rd and Harry 5th in theirs, resulting in team 2nd and qualification for Champs.

In the Novice, our team of Esme, Mabel and Poppy also did a great job. Esme’s lovely test resulted in 1st place in her arena, qualifying her for Champs too, while Mabel and Totes danced their way to 6th place in the next door arena. Mabel then hopped onto Peggy and, with no time to warm up, put in an accurate if exuberant performance, showing lots of promise for the future. Poppy also had a very lively Indi to contend with (who was convinced she was at Hickstead to go jumping!), but nevertheless skilfully rode an accurate test with plenty of pleasing moments, helping the team to 6th place overall. Congratulations girls.

In the Grassroots, Billy and Emilia put in performances to be proud of, placing 12th and 10th respectively, in a full class. Very well done to them both.

Many thanks to Southdown Hunt East PC for hosting us.

13 May, Dressage Home International, Windsor Horse Show
Abi and Zoe were invited to be part of the England team at this prestigious competition and both had an amazing day!  Zoe notched up a score of 72.98% in the Intermediate section, taking 2nd place, while Abi scored 72.50% to take 1st in the Open. The England team also took gold. Huge congratulations to them both!
