Pony Club Camps 2023 – Save the Date!
We can now confirm the dates and format of camps for this year, which we are excited to announce will include reintroducing a dedicated Junior Camp at it’s own venue! By separating Senior and Junior Camp we will be able to focus on making the most out of camp for each age group. Places are limited at each camp so please book in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, as we will unfortunately not be able to add additional spaces/stabling once we are full. Camps will be made available on the Branch web site to book in to within the next few weeks – please look out for a further announcement.
Senior Camp (24th to 26th July, arriving on the evening of the 23rd) – Click here
This camp is for members aged 12 and over and will take place at Vale View Equestrian with ponies and members staying on site. This will follow a similar format to last year with a range of ridden activities all on surface with some guest instructors (activities will include flatwork, show jumping, cross country). Accommodation will be in your own lorries/caravans/tents. Members will also be provided with a drinks bottle. Maximum number of spaces at this camp is 30. If any members are unable to attend this camp due to their school term not finishing in time, a place will be made available for you at Junior Camp instead – please contact Pete/Sharon if you wish to take this up.
Junior Camp (8th to 10th August, arriving on the evening of the 7th) – Click here
New for this year, this camp is for members aged 8 to 12 and will take place at Pickering Grange Equestrian with ponies and members staying overnight on site. There will be a range of ridden activities on surfaces, guest demonstrations, stable management and fun evening activities on foot. Accommodation and food will be provided. Members will also be provided with a drinks bottle. Maximum number of spaces at this camp is 24.
Mini Camp (22nd to 24th August) – Click here
This camp is for members aged 12 and under and will take place at the Atherstone Riding Club Field in Upton with members and their ponies attending during the day only. There will be a range of activities and there will be groups to cater for members on or just off the lead rein.
At each of the residential camps stabling will include one bale of shavings but you will need to bring your own bedding and hay (it may be possible to purchase this at some or all of the venues – we will confirm nearer the time). Please note that parents will unfortunately not be able to stay over at senior or junior camp to comply with the Pony Club’s safeguarding requirements.
