Criteria for Team Selection

For inter branch competitions selection is made by the team manager from those interested, available and capable of competing at the relevant height.

For Area Team selection, the following criteria apply:-

  • Members must be active in the branch and attend at least 3 rallies. Attendance at camp is also desirable.
  • Teams will be chosen by the Team Manager in consultation with the Chief Instructor and D.C.
  • Training will be given prior to Area competitions
  • Members representing the branch must be competent and able to ride safely at the standard requested.

It is a privilege to be chosen to represent your branch and members should show commitment and respect to the instructors, team managers and other team members. As a team competition it is important that members and parents are supportive to all in the teams through good and bad days.

Jo and Emma have developed the following pack to help anyone who is interested in representing the Branch at Show Jumping competitions during 2017.  There is also an Expressions of Interest form that you will need to complete if you wish to be considered for team selection through 2017.
