Why support OBHPC
The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth training organisation founded in 1929 and granted independent charitable status in 1997. There are around 345 branches in the UK and our branch is one of 20 across Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire that make up Area 9 of the Pony Club. OBHPC itself has a healthy membership of around 150, all taking advantage of an annual programme of training rallies and events across almost all disciplines including dressage, show jumping, eventing, polo, tetrathlon. We regularly host competitions that are open to members from the branch and Area 9, as well as non-members, and our members in turn represent the branch both regionally and nationally.
As a volunteer-run charitable organisation, we work hard to provide as many opportunities for our community within the income received from membership payment and ticket sales from rallies and events. We love to go the extra mile and provide a little extra throughout the year, from sending one of our fantastic instructors to events as team trainer, to really good prizes and giveaways at summer camps and competitions.
