OBHPC Area/Regional Dressage Qualifier

What a day it was!  The weather held (pretty much) and Spetchley Park is pretty beautiful.  Our members were brilliant.  Cecil B – fresh out from exams only went and WON the Open Dressage competition.  This really is the pinnacle of PC Dressage and Cecil will now compete against the best of the best at the Pony Club National Championships.  She was also part of a combined team that won and qualified.  Hot on her heels were terrific results from the Prelim – Well Done Freya W for WINNING and obviously qualifying in her section (and qualifying as part of a mixed Team), THEN the Grassroots with a fabulous 2nd place for Connie S (who was hoping to keep up her record of winning!) and Freya W coming 4th and qualifying at this level AS WELL!  Olivia V-M qualified as did Emily R riding a borrowed horse from Lorna H (that really is what PC is all about) that she only sat on a few days before.  Evie O is on the cusp of qualifying and Ava A put in a fab performance against strong competition.  The qualifiers will all go through to the Regional Championships.

Then at Novice Level we had Oliva V-M coming 2nd in her first Novice Test with Flora O and Scarlett S coming 3rd in their sections all to qualify individually for the National Champs.  On top of this we had Lily S, Cecilia V-M, Flora O and Scarlett S coming 3rd as a Team qualifier.  Great performances from Lily S on her second horse, Grace G, Abi H and Lorna H, all added to the occasion.

Then the Intermediate team of Lily S, Flora O, Scarlett S and Cecil B came 2nd and qualified for the National Championships with Scarlett also qualifying as an individual on her 2nd horse.  Abi H stepping up to this level with a great performance as well.

Super proud of everyone!  I love the Dressage – bit less stress, bit less drama and such style and technique to watch – with our members absolutely dressed to impress.  Thank you to the parents and children for manners (children’s manners – they all said thank you to everyone!), turn out and team spirit and MASSIVE thanks to Carol and Rob for actually making these results happen!

SO excited for the National and Regional Pony Club Championships!
