OBHPC Camps

Camps are held for each age group during the summer holidays for many of our members it is the highlight of their pony club year. Parents are encouraged to stay and help while their children are at Mini Camp (indeed this is required if they are on the lead rein) but for Junior and Senior camps it is a parent-free zone!

All abilities are catered for at each of the camps, and they are great opportunity to for children to get to know other riders of their age, as well other children riding at their level. We encourage all children to go to the camp appropriate to their age however there is some flexibility on age if your child feels they are not yet ready for the next camp, space permitting.

More information will be added as plans are finalised, as well as booking forms and kit lists for the next camp.

Paying for camps

If you would like to spread the cost of paying for camps in the months leading up to July/August, please fill in the simple Camps payment plan form and start making payments when you are ready. The form gives a guide to the amounts for each camp if you were to start payments in February. If later, please adjust the amount accordintly. It’s essential you use a recognisable reference for each payment, e.g. MiniCamp[child surname].
You will receive a confirmation email with the branch bank details to set up and start payments when it suits you.
Once costs have been confirmed, you will be asked to adjust the final payment (or top up afterwards). We are also listing camps on Horse Events this year and will send out an announcement once they’re live. Based on 2024 camps rates, the suggested instalments amounts, if payments start in February, are as follows.

  • Mini – est. total cost £160. 6 monthly payments @ £26 + final balance top up
  • Trotter – est. total cost £110. 6 monthly payments @ £18 + final balance top up
  • Junior – est. total cost £240. 6 monthly payments @ £40 + final balance top up
  • Senior – est. total cost £390. 6 monthly payments @ £65 + final balance top up
